Anxiety can significantly disrupt our relationships, work-life, and personal health. Experiencing fear or the inability to control our thoughts can lead to lack of motivation, sleep disruption, procrastination, muscle tension and headaches, avoiding or struggling in social situations, or feeling paralyzed by fear. Learning to understand the issues that create anxiety for you and finding ways of coping more effectively can enable you to experience more freedom and satisfaction in your daily life.

Anxiety can negatively affect your health on many different levels: physically, psychologically, and emotionally.

Many of our fears increase in intensity without us ever stopping to challenge the causes, probabilities of occurrence, or the amount of control we might have over the situation. We tend to forget about our ability to cope when our anxieties and fears seem so real, and sometimes our anxiety seems to take on a life of it’s own that can’t be controlled. That being said, our anxieties don’t need to debilitate us or have this level of control over our lives. Through the process of therapy, you can learn to understand the issues that create anxiety for you and find ways of coping more effectively so that you can experience more freedom and satisfaction in your daily life.

Through a process of therapy, we will work towards:

  • Reducing overall frequency, intensity, and duration of anxiety to increase your ability to function on a daily basis
  • Identifying and challenging the fears or worries that are contributing to your anxiety
  • Resolving the core conflicts that are the source of your anxiety
  • Learning strategies that enable you to cope more effectively with stressful situations
