How Many Sessions?

Couples Therapy usually takes 6-20 sessions, and individual therapy depends on the issues you are working on and the goals you set for yourself. Most clients come to therapy once a week, and some every second week. Brief therapy (6-12 sessions) focuses on immediate issues and practical solutions, whereas longer term therapy (12 or more sessions) address concerns in more depth and works with changing patterns of behavior that have developed over a long period of time. It is up to each client’s discretion how long they wish to pursue therapy.
