I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker with a BA in psychology from Rutgers University, and an MSW from Simmons College in Boston. I have been offering individual, family and group therapy in various healthcare settings, including inpatient and outpatient eating disorders treatment for the last 13 years. I currently see private practice clients at Kerry Moller & Associates, and am a clinician in the inpatient eating disorders program at BC Children’s Hospital.
I am very passionate about helping clients recover from disordered eating. I help clients explore the triggers and influences on their relationship with food, and learn to develop healthier behaviours around food, effective coping mechanisms, and more loving relationships with their bodies. Support is an integral part of the recovery process, and I have extensive training in helping families learn how to best support their loved ones (and themselves) when someone in their life is struggling with an eating disorder.
I also enjoy working with adults, teens and children with a wide range of concerns, including: anxiety, panic attacks, depression, stress, grief and loss and family dynamics. Throughout my years as a clinician, I have been trained in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Based Therapy (FBT), and have vast experience using Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
I believe that the quality of relationship between a therapist and a client is a major indicator for success in therapy. When someone feels seen, heard, and validated, they can then find the strength to make meaningful changes, and having a safe and trustworthy space to share their experiences is paramount to the healing process. I look forward to providing that space for you, and helping you explore how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are impacting your relationships and wellbeing.
