I am double certified as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). I obtained my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria where I also received an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. My areas of expertise include: relationships, anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. My specialized training includes advanced trainings in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Trauma Focused-CBT, CBT for anxiety, CBT for depression), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RODBT).
The therapeutic journey is different for each individual. Sometimes that means exploring your past, other times that means working on concrete skills to change habits in the here and now, or looking to the future and planning out a different path for yourself. It is my job to walk alongside you on your own personal journey towards wellness, healing, and purpose.
In our sessions, I help clients:
- Feel heard and understood on a deep level
- Work through the pain of past trauma and it’s ongoing impact in your life
- Uncover what is fuelling your anxiety, and learn helpful strategies to minimize anxious thoughts and panic attacks
- Change relationship patterns that are no longer serving you
- Support clients on their grieving journey
